Use a flexible tailor’s measuring tape and wrap it snugly around the narrowest point of your wrist or midpoint of your neck, without leaving slack. Do not add extra margin—our design includes 2 notches smaller and 2 notches larger than your specified measurement to ensure flexibility across different physical dynamics.

No. Commercial gear often uses raw, sharp edges and exposed backings. All Godforsaken cuffs feature hand-beveled edges rubbed with premium burnishing agents, and are lined with supple suede or nubuck. All metal rivet heads are encased underneath the lining, shielding vulnerable skin from direct hardware contact.

Materials, Tanning & Hardware Strength
-
nearly all of our products are made from full-grain vegetable-tanned leather from cows or buffalo. Our favorite tannages are bridle leather and latigo, both of which are heavy and weather resistant, due to being hot stuffed with oils, waxes, and fats during tanning. Vegetable-tanned leather is imbued with organic tannins for over 60+ days, producing zero toxic chemical leaching and providing immense tensile strength that does not deform under force.
-
Yes. We never use cheap split-wire rings. All our D-rings, O-rings, and roller buckles are solid sand-cast brass or welded stainless steel, rated for hundreds of pounds of continuous pulling tension. While our hardware and construction are sound, we urge caution and safety when using leather restraints.
-
In our effort to provide top quality leather at accessible prices, we source our leather from a variety of domestic wholesalers. The majority is shipped to us from California, Texas, and Oregon. The hides are a biproduct of the beef industry, and originate from the US, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and a other countries.
Care, Cleansing & Storage
-
Wipe clean immediately with a damp (not soaking) microfiber cloth using mild glycerin-based saddle soap. Never submerge leather in water. Use disinfectants sparingly, and at low concentrations, as bleach and alcohol degrade the leather and finishes over time. Allow leather to air-dry naturally away from artificial heaters, then condition the grain side once every six months with Anointment Leather Conditioner.
